An independent company, owned by the people who build it
Upsell is an Icelandic software company in Reykjavík building the system restaurants run on: register, online ordering, kitchen screens and settlement in one platform. We own the company ourselves and make decisions with our customers, not with investors.

Upsell is 100% owned by three people
Arnar Þór Sveinsson, Hlynur Halldórsson and Sindri Guðmundsson own Upsell outright. No funds, no silent shareholders, nobody else at the table.

Outside of running Upsell, we have no affiliation with the restaurant industry. That means we never compete with our customers and have no interest to serve other than making the system work for them.

Everything in Upsell is designed and developed together with customers
No feature in the system came out of a closed brainstorm. They were shaped with the people who use the system every day.

Upsell is not considering a sale of the company in the near future. Decisions are made for the long-term interests of customers, not for the next transaction.

How we think
One system, no duct tape
We don’t believe in gluing five systems together with middleware. The register, the website, the kitchen and the books should talk to each other because they are the same thing.
Icelandic reality
Icelandic payment providers, Icelandic accounting and Icelandic business culture, with support in Icelandic from people who know your operation.
Serious engineering
The platform runs on a distributed cloud network with real-time sync across every device. Updates ship automatically, because our customers run restaurants, not IT systems.
